Common Questions

  • How close are the tents to the bathrooms?

The tents are all centered around our new modern bathhouse and are about a 60-90 second walk. Bring a flashlight, headlamp, or flashlight app on your phone as we keep it dark at night to help reveal our beautiful starry skies.

  • How close is my parking space?

Tents: Each tent has a reserved parking area. Parking spaces are a 30-60 second walk away. You can swing by and drop off heavy stuff or use our pull-wagons. Extra assistance is available, upon request (please contact us before your arrival)

Cabins: Cabin guest park directly behind their cabin.

  • What are the different bed options in each area?

    LOWER TENT AREA

    • Standard Tents (orange tent icon): Choose from a 2 queen bed, or 1 queen bed and 2 bunk beds (with 4 twins)
    • Premium Tents (blue tent icon): Choose from 1 queen bed or ADA tent (1 queen and ramp)

    UPPER CABIN AREA

    • Classic Cabins (green cabin icon): Choose from Studios with 1 queen and 2-3 twins (kids only, in loft) or our 1 BR option with 1 Queen and a full-sized futon sleeping 1 adult or 1-2 kids
    • Valley View Cabins (gold cabin icon): These come with 1 Queen bed and a full-sized futon sleeping 1 adult or 1-2 kids
  • What's on the hiking trail? How long is it?

The Wildhaven Yosemite View Trail connects the lower tent area and upper cabin terrace with a beautiful trail up to the top of Spring Hill. It has some steeper section and proper footwear is encouraged.

    • Heading clockwise from the tent loop, the trail first stops at the Mariposa Town Overlook which has picnic tables and a nice sunrise spot for coffee.
    • As you continue to the top of Spring Hill, you'll find more picnic tables in the shade and beautiful views in all directions.
    • As the trail winds its way down the ridge, it stops at a beautiful bench with an unobstructed view south across the rolling hills.
    • Lastly, the trail reaches one of the highlights of your walk, a covered pergola with more seating, a gas fire pit, and the best sunset views. From this point, it's just another 5 minutes down the ridge to reach the cabin area where you can walk the road back to the tents.
    • Total Distance: 3/4 mile and 25-35 minutes with stops
  • Can I request a specific tent or cabin location?

Yes. Unforunately, we cannot guarantee a specific tent or cabin. We won't know the specific accommodation until the morning of your arrival, after our housekeeping and final inspection process is complete. This ensures you have a clean accommodation with no maintenance issues. When you book, you can request a specific location in the Reservation Notes section, and we will do our best to accommodate.

  • I am booking with others. Can I be next to them?

Please include the name of the other party you are booking with when you make your online reservation (use the Notes field). Or contact us afterwards. While we cannot guarantee a specific location, we will do our best to place you as close as possible. We know glamping is more fun with your besties right around you :)

  • Is it possible to walk into town?

While Mariposa is just 1 mile away, there is no way to walk from our property due to very steep terrain and no shoulders on Highway 140.

  • I'm a lighter sleeper. Where should I book?

The road noise is the least at the top of our property, so we recommend one of our hard-sided cabins. If you seek a tent camping experience, we recommend the Premium 1 Queen tents which are located in the middle of our property. The Standard tents in our lower area are closest to the road and guests there will hear occasional road noise, even during the night. We aim to provide a restful night sleep so every tent has ear plugs and fans to help our lighter sleepers.
